Meetings:
The Society attempts to arrange meetings of its members in connection with major philatelic exhibitions,
for the purpose of conducting official business and to allow members to participate in the good fellowship
that these meetings invariable generate.

Mail Bid Sales:
Four times a year, the society runs an mail bid sale with over 100 items in a Mail bid sale.
These sales are restricted to SOCORICO members in good standing. Please see the auction conditions
and an example mail sale auction 123.

The Oxcart
Since 1960, the quarterly journal The Oxcart has been a wonderful source of information on the stamps and postal history of Costa Rica.

Counterfeit Reference
As in many other countries in the 19th century, the stamps of Costa Rica were counterfeited, sometimes to
defraud collectors and sometimes just to fill the demands of the packet-makers of the day. SOCORICO has
acquired an extensive collection of these counterfeits, and they are available for reference to any member.

Members are encouraged to place classified advertisement in The Oxcart free of charge.
In this way, members may buy, sell, and exchange philatelic material or obtain information related to their collecting interests.
